NEWSFLASH regarding PIP Implants !

Cosmedicare are a cosmetic agency based in Liverpool One that were established in 2008.

Cosmedicare are fully aware of the PIP  (  Poly Implant Prostheses ) issues that are currently in the news and would like to inform you of some details after they have received many calls and emails in relation to this matter over the past few weeks. Firstly, Cosmedicare have NEVER used PIP implants. Secondly, Cosmedicare acquired this telephone number from one of the cities previous clinics - Cosmedical Surgery, who actually closed in 2007.

Cosmedicare is an agent for a hospital and is not a clinic. Cosmedicare does not hold any medical/administrative records for Cosmedical Surgery patients. They  would have been handed to the relevant surgeons who patients were seen by. Cosmedicare only hold records for their own patients from 2008 onwards.

For your information, Cosmedicare's surgeons use only Euromedical and Allergan implants and not PIP implants. Cosmedicare though would like to add that they will give as much support as possible to any of those woman who wish to have their implants replaced. 

For any further information Cosmedicare suggest that those with any PIP questions or queries should contact your implanting surgeon who operated on you.  Cosmedicare have been informed by some Cosmedical patients that have phoned in that the surgeons names are Mr Aurakzai and Mr Persico and that you could possibly try to 'Google' them or check the MHRA announcement posted on Friday 6th January 2012 for more in depth details.
